A low (or zero) carbon solution
NexGen is a low-carbon solution for heating all kinds of buildings, and particularly when combined with solar panels and batteries, can produce a truly zero-carbon solution. We partner with major national distributors and installers of solar panels and smart batteries for integrated solutions. We also work with finance partners to fund large-scale roll-outs of these systems.
Similarly, we work with many public sector organisations, delivering heating solutions in offices, schools, sports halls and the like.
A range of products to suit every need
NexGen’s heating systems include tiles for office ceiling grids, overhead rafts for workspaces in open warehouses and factories, and ceiling paper for areas with standard plasterboard ceilings. They are all highly effective, based on the same core technology and are controlled in the same way – simply and seamlessly.

Low CAPEX requirements and zero scheduled maintenance
NexGen products are inexpensive to purchase and quick and easy to install. There’s no need to retrofit plumbing or find external space for heating units. Tiles and rafts can easily be removed and redeployed elsewhere – a ‘recyclable’ heating system!
There are no moving parts in a NexGen system, so there’s no need for regular maintenance. Our products are fixed to the ceiling or suspended above workspaces so they are out of the way; our transformers are usually located in a cupboard or above a raft – so also out of the way. NexGen products come with a 15 year warranty as standard.
Highly efficient energy usage
Humans feel NexGen’s infrared directly – like feeling gentle sunshine on your skin – so NexGen systems don’t rely on heated air. It means that in a large open industrial or warehouse space, staff can still feel the warmth of infrared even if the air is cool. It’s a far more efficient way of keeping people warm than the alternative of heating the entire building.
NexGen is also absorbed into the fabric of the workspace, so the surface of the desk or the floor underneath holds energy and warms up too. Even when the power’s off, the stored energy (‘thermal mass’) of the floor or desk keeps the surface warm, causing it to cool down very slowly. It’s a step change in comfort level for people who have historically suffered from very cold working conditions during the winter.
Only heat it when you’re there!
NexGen warms up extremely quickly, providing comfort warmth within a few minutes. It allows us to turn the heating on only when we’re there – there’s no need for a long (and inefficient) warm-up period. It’s much more efficient, lowering bills and CO2 emissions.
Each room, desk or workspace is a ‘zone’ which is controlled by a thermostat, timer and/or smart app – or an existing building management system. Zonal heating means we can heat individual desks only when someone is present, or turn off most of the heating when people are working from home. Turning it off when you don’t need it is the easiest way to save energy.
