How Does Infrared Heating Work
NexGen’s infrared heating warms people directly, just like gentle sunlight, so students and staff feel comfortable without needing to heat large volumes of air. This makes it especially effective where traditional air-based heating can be slow, inefficient, and costly.
Our systems also gently warm the surfaces in the room, such as desks, floors, and walls. This stored warmth, known as thermal mass, means the room stays comfortable for longer, even after the heating has switched off. The result is a more consistent, cosy learning environment without the draughts and cold spots that are common in older school buildings during winter.
